Last week the results of the Freeh report were announced. It confirmed what many of us feared. Joe Paterno knew what Sandusky was doing & covered it up.With this announcement several people have now called for Penn St to receive the death penalty. I agree with them. Yet, Penn St football keeps going on. The statue & buildings named after Paterno have kept there names. I still feel that Penn St needs to take Paterno's name off of everything. He should be like Chris Benoit in WWE, nobody can see anything with him in it & his name is not spoken.
But the thing is Penn St University might collapse & State College, Penn, where Penn St is located would go bankrupt without Penn St Football. So if not the death penalty, something else extreme must be done to Penn St. Penn St should lose all it's football scholarships for 5 years. If football doesn't get the death penalty it should wish that it did. After the 5 years Penn St is allowed less that the rest of College football for another 5 years. So in other words, 10 years probation. If they violate it, they get the death penalty.
Also NCAA, vacate all of Penn St wins since 1998, when they first found out about Sandusky. This would make Bobby Bowden the all-time winning D1A head coach. Bowden should have that record & considering the fact the NCAA spent years chasing Bowden instead of Paterno it is only fair. It turns out that the cheating at FSU that Bowden may or may not have known about was nothing compared to what Paterno was doing.
As for the money, lawsuits will take care of any money that Penn St makes. Penn St said that it has receive millions, it is about to lose hundreds of millions. Penn St was built on lies & evil acts. Now it is time to pay for it.
