The Big 12 is dying, again. This time Texas and Oklahoma are leaving to go to the SEC.
Plan 1: Beg Texas and Oklahoma. Looks like this plan has already failed. The SEC has been talking with Texas & Oklahoma for months.
Plan 2: Try to destroy the SEC: This plan is simple take advantage to the fact that Texas A&M (A&M) and other SEC schools may be unhappy now that the gentleman's agreement has been broken. This agreement was that member schools must be consulted before the SEC invited instate rivals. The SEC didn't consult A&M. Use A&M's anger to try and get they to return. Also go after LSU, Arkansas and Missouri. If they say no it won't get worse. If they say yes, the Big 12 is back! Also talk to the ACC. Maybe the ACC will go after Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Kentucky. Go for the kill. Likely will fail
Plan 3: Expand. Go after BYU, Boise and a few AAC schools like Houston, Central Florida, Memphis, or Cincinnati. Likely Success.
Plan 4: Do nothing. Be the Big 8. Risk loss of more schools and Power 5 status. Bad Idea.
Plan 5: Disband Conference. Worst option, but to be honest the Big 12 never should have caved to Texas all those years ago.
This is my list of possible plan for the Big 12. If you have a idea please comment.
