USWA WEEK Final Day
Sorry about not posting this yesterday but I was tired & had to run some errands. This is the Final day of USWA week enjoy. The USWA is gone but it's impact is still felt. It former wrestlers are some of the most well known wrestlers today. Here is a look at some of its most famous alumni
First is The King Jerry Lawler. Raw commentator, 168 time former champion, including 30 times as World Champion, & 73 times as Southern Champion.
Next is the King of the Mountain, Jeff Jarrett, co-founder and co-owner of TNA. He is a 16 time former World Champion.
Jacqueline Moore, was known as Ms Texas in USWA. 11 time former women's champion
The Superstar Bill Dundee, known as Sir William in WCW, he was Lawler rival, truth is that probably will wrestle another match. Never became as well known as Lawler. I am doing a USWA week, so I have to mention Dundee. 15 time former Southern Champion.
Here are a few more alumni
The late WWE Hall of Famer Junkyard dog, former 2 time world champion
'The Ugandan Giant' Kamala is a former 4 time world champion
WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware is a two time champion.
"Grandmaster Sexy" Brian Christopher 'Lawler'
Reggie B Fine minus his fur coat .
Finally 'The Mouth of South' Jimmy Hart was annoying folks in Memphis long before he went global.

USWA Day 3 USWA vs WWF It happen
Mr McMahon was first a heel in Memphis. He would send WWF wrestlers down to face Jerry Lawler. And boy did he troll Memphis.
Next up
Bret Hart was already feuding with Lawler, thus he & his brother were the first challengers. Also in Memphis, Bret & Owen were the heel.
The Big Guns Giant Gonzales
MACHO
Yes Vince sent Randy Savage, the storyline would soon end but it will always be remembered.

USWA week Day 2
As the USWA had names that are known through wrestling. Jeff Jarrett, of TNA fame is the son of Jerry Jarrett, former CWA & then USWA owner. He was also grandson of Eddie Malin. He was a ref until, Tony Faulk, an USWA jobber challenged him. The match was a draw & Jeff career took off. A 12 time world champion, he is a co-founder of TNA. The person Jeff is fighting in the video is Eddie Gilbert. The late Eddie Gilbert is best known for running over Jerry Lawler in a storyline. An act which caused MPD to receive several phone calls.

USWA Week Day 1
When I was going up Vince McMahon was still trying to crush the other wrestling promotions. He had been very successful, buying Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW), both the Minneapolis based American Wrestling Association (AWA) & Dallas based World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) were dying, & the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA ) was working with Jim Crockett Promotions of Charlotte to form World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in order to complete with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It was at this time that the United States Wrestling Association was formed in order to complete with both the WWF & WCW.

The Official Memphis Sports Fan 'Sports' Bucket List.
This is a list of things in sports that I would like to see happen before I die. All of the things are stuff I can't control but I still hope will happen. Here it goes.
- Memphis Tigers basketball wins the NCAA tournment. Every Tiger fan wants this.
- Memphis Grizzlies win NBA title. This could happen soon if only the NBA lockout end.
- St. Rams winning another Super Bowl.
- Lakers passing the Celtics for most NBA titles.
- The founding of a Memphis based wrestling company with a Unified World Heavyweight champion. Hopefully called the USWA. I miss the USWA & current wrestling is still weak.
- True NCAA college football playoff.
- Yankees crushing the Red Sox again. Just to shut Red Sox fans up.
- A non BCS school winning the BCS title. Ruining the big conferences fun.
- Tiger Woods being awesome again. I want to see the Tiger haters have meltdowns.
- Memphis Redbirds win AAA title. They made it to the AAA Championship series once I just want them to win it.
- Memphis womens basketball becoming a major power. I want them to be view the way the men's team is currently viewed.
- Memphis football in a BCS game. I dream big, sue me.
- Either Mark Henry, MVP, Shelton Benjamin or R-Truth as a Major World Champion.
- USA men's soccer winning a World Cup.
- Memphis men's basketball with a winning record against Tennessee & Louisville. The fact that this still has not happens saddens me.
- Memphis women's team beating a Pat Summet coached UT team.
- Memphis football beating UT again. I just want to see UT fans cry again.
- Marc Gasol being considered the better Gasol brother. It already true but I want other people to admit it.
- AROD catching Bonds' home run record & setting it so high Pujols can't catch it. Go AROD GO!
- Memphis Tigers basketball having local TV games. Because the C-USA TV deal is stupid.
This isn't on my list but it would still be cool if they were used once.

I still miss the USWA
The USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship belt.
This is how it was almost created.
Jerry "the King" Lawyer would later unified the belts in Chicago & it was then the USWA was born.

In Memory of the Macho Man
Randall Mario Poffo better known as Randy Savage passed away yesterday (May 20) due to a auto accident caused by a heart attack. While also a former minor league baseball player, Poffo became famous as Macho Man Randy Savage, a 10 time World Champion in pro wrestling. He had one of the most memorable voice in history. The catchphrase 'oh yeah' is forever his. As Macho Man, he had feuds with Ricky Steamboat, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair & several other greats. He will be missed by millions of fans. Pollo is survive by his second wife Lynn, who has our condolences.
