Some thoughts
Here are some random thought about sports & wrestling.
- Jeff Hardy regained the TNA title tonight, why TNA why. Is keeping him really that important. It is not like WWE wants him, if they do let him go. He would screw it up anyway.
- Vince McMahon finally went off about WWE's bad rating, only to have a WWE star point the finger at him. I don't know who is the brave man who just destroyed his own career but THANKYOU, it had to be said. We wrestling fans hear the words, Vince likes him or Vince hates him too much when we ask why certain stars are being used or not used.
- NBA season is here. Can the Heat repeat? Are the Lakers ready to challenge? Can OKC learn how to win titles? Will D. Rose & D. Howard be 100% when they return? Finally what dumb move will the Grizzlies make this season?
- It is the last year of the Memphis Tigers being in CUSA. HURRRRRAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
- The Rams are getting better but I still don't like Fisher.
- The BCS is almost gone. Double HHHHUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!
- Devon in Aces & 8s, good idea TNA!
- I don't care what Marvel says, Cyclops was right.
- Also the whole Superman dating Wonder Woman thing is a bad idea DC.
- Yankees SIGH, I just don't know. Is this how it ends?
- Marc Gasol is better than Andrew Bynum.
- Finally it's time for me to prepare my NBA predictons.
- Is anybody besides a diehard NHL fan going to miss it, answer no!
- It is time for Cena to get the belt back.
- It is also good to have Paul Heyman back.
- The replacement refs were fine, the real question is. Why did the ESPN get so anti NFL during the lockout.
- The Big Dance should be 64 (with NIT) or 96 (no more NIT)
- Finally Memphis Football really needs to get better.

Two years in: The winners in my opinion
Two years ago today, I decided that the microblog known as twitter was not quite good enough when it came to getting my thoughts across. So I started this small blog & Two years later it remains. While its viewers stats are low it remains. Few people knows that it is even around, but it still remains. Now come a look back before we head into year 3. In this post we will look at the winners.

Really, You have a problem with the NFL, NOW !?!?
On September the first 2006, Roger Goodell became NFL Commissioner. Over his time as NFL Commissioner Goodell, the NFL rules have changed in ways many people dislike. He has enraged the NFLPA with his fines and suspensions. He led the owners in a lockout of the players just last year. He has been judge, jury and executioner when issuing punishments to players, coaches, GM and owners. Appeals are made to him.

Roger Goodell suspends Sean Payton & Greg Williams
Today, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made a decision about the Saints bounty program. New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton has been suspended for one year. His former assistant Gregg Williams who currently works for the ST Louis Rams has been suspended indefinitely. Saints' GM Matt Loomis for 8 games & Saints assistant Joe Vitt for 6 games. The Saints were also fined $500,000 & stripped of a 2nd round pick.
I support this ruling. While football is a violent game trying to injure people in unacceptable. It does not matter what the reason is. NFL players are all trying to make a living. Hurt somebody would hurt there ability to do that. The NFL is also being sued over player concussions. This bounty program is a embarrassment to the NFL. The NFL had warned the Saints to stop it & the Saints keep doing it. They lied when they were caught. In my opinion, the Saints got off easy.

Remember when week, Day 1
Remember when Ray Lewis ether murdered or helped cover for a murder. After the Ravens won the Super Bowl, some people were upset that Disney wanted Trent Dilfer to say "I'm going to Disney land." So Saturday Night Live made this.

The Official Memphis Sports Fan 'Sports' Bucket List.
This is a list of things in sports that I would like to see happen before I die. All of the things are stuff I can't control but I still hope will happen. Here it goes.
- Memphis Tigers basketball wins the NCAA tournment. Every Tiger fan wants this.
- Memphis Grizzlies win NBA title. This could happen soon if only the NBA lockout end.
- St. Rams winning another Super Bowl.
- Lakers passing the Celtics for most NBA titles.
- The founding of a Memphis based wrestling company with a Unified World Heavyweight champion. Hopefully called the USWA. I miss the USWA & current wrestling is still weak.
- True NCAA college football playoff.
- Yankees crushing the Red Sox again. Just to shut Red Sox fans up.
- A non BCS school winning the BCS title. Ruining the big conferences fun.
- Tiger Woods being awesome again. I want to see the Tiger haters have meltdowns.
- Memphis Redbirds win AAA title. They made it to the AAA Championship series once I just want them to win it.
- Memphis womens basketball becoming a major power. I want them to be view the way the men's team is currently viewed.
- Memphis football in a BCS game. I dream big, sue me.
- Either Mark Henry, MVP, Shelton Benjamin or R-Truth as a Major World Champion.
- USA men's soccer winning a World Cup.
- Memphis men's basketball with a winning record against Tennessee & Louisville. The fact that this still has not happens saddens me.
- Memphis women's team beating a Pat Summet coached UT team.
- Memphis football beating UT again. I just want to see UT fans cry again.
- Marc Gasol being considered the better Gasol brother. It already true but I want other people to admit it.
- AROD catching Bonds' home run record & setting it so high Pujols can't catch it. Go AROD GO!
- Memphis Tigers basketball having local TV games. Because the C-USA TV deal is stupid.
This isn't on my list but it would still be cool if they were used once.

A letter to the Fans
Dear Fans (who are blaming the Players for the Lockouts):
Just because you suck at sports don't give you the right to hate on people who are good at them & get paid Millions because of it. This is a Lockout meaning that the owners not the players started it, & can end it. The owners have miss managed their money. While the players should take a pay cut in the NBA, the owner need to get better at running their teams. The NFL is still making a profit so I have no idea why they are even having a lockout besides the owners being greedy. So please stop calling into radio shows & sounding like losers who just hate people for getting rich.

Now I am Mad (may be just annoyed) NBA &NFL Lockouts, Who is really to blame.
It's July 1, 2011 which is the end of single lockout season & the beginning of double lockout season. Yes, I am joking, but it still is true. At midnight, NBA owners lockout their players because the Collective Bargaining Agreement or CBA had expired. Thus another lockout begins. The 1998 NBA lockout cost us fan half the season. It is believed that this year could cost us the whole season. Combined with the fact that the NFL is also having a lockout it is a bad time to be a fan. But why does this keep happening? Everybody says that they don't care because it is Millionaires vs Billionaires. Most fans seems to in my opinion blame the players. They say that the players are greedy & overpaid. That should be happy with the millions they make & should be willing to take pay cuts. Others, including much of the media blame the owners saying that, they chose to pay the players that money. These people as point out the massive amount of money that the leagues make & question if the owners are losing as much as they say. When I was young around when the MLB strike happened I blamed the players. Later during the 98 NBA lockout & since, I blamed the owners. But now as I think about it, while I still mostly think that it is the owners fault. I BLAME THE FANS!!!
Let me explain. Fans keep letting this happen. MLB had a strike & the fans didn't come back for a while. Now the MLB & MLBPA make sure not to have work stoppages. Fans also keep blaming the players for the lockout. Here the thing, IT IS THE OWNERS CHOICE IF THE IS A LOCKOUT. THE OWNERS VOTED FOR IT TO HAPPEN. If it was a strike they it would be the players fault. While the lockout are going players contracts are no longer in effect, however when the lockout ends the contract are valid. Some the owners can break their deal & not have to pay their players. If the player show up to work which most want to so that they will get paid, they are LOCKED OUT.
The owners are doing this because they are losing money & feel that salaries are to high. It's been reported that the NBAPA has offered to return 100 million a salary over the next 5 years. The NBA owners reportedly want 700 million a year! The owner are also reportedly ready to sit out this year & possible til 2013! WHAT! They also feel the current system favors big market team & hurts completion
While this is happening fans are either saying that they are both greedy or ripping the players for making to much. It is this that help empowers the owners to be so stubborn! That is since the MLB strike most pro sports labor stoppages end because the players cave. People talk about how the NFL, which has the weakest union is better because of it. YET THERE IS A LOCKOUT BECAUSE THE NFL OWNER WANT MORE MONEY EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT THEY ARE STILL MAKING MONEY! THEY WANT MORE MONEY! In MLB there people used to complain about the big money teams having too much money & that small market needed more. So they began revenue sharing. The small market team took the money & instead of trying to get players KEPT IT!. Yet fan seem to act like it is the players fault or at least like it would be better if the owners won. Owners whose teams were probably built by tax players at very little expense to them. Owners who get Billions in TV deal, are either cheap, over or both at same time mean that they are dumb. Yet, the fans blame the players. Look I know that the players can make it hard to side with them but siding with the owners won't fix these problems.

The Future
This Monday during WWE Raw they are holding the Slammys. While this is on I will be holding my own parody awards "The Lammys" on twitter. My page is http://twitter.com/MemphisSportFan or just follow me at @MemphisSportFan on twitter. While the Slammys are about the year's best in WWE, the Lammys are about the year's worst in major pro wrestling. They are based on my opinion so a lot of people won't like them. That is if a lot of people seen them anyway.
As in the next few days I will post on this site Great Moments in Memphis Football. Fact is this has been a bad year for University of Memphis Football so I will post "good" moments of all Memphis Football history. Yes. some moments may seem like joke but I will explain why I posted them.
Here is a link to my youtube channel.http://www.youtube.com/user/MemphisSportsFan I have 12 favorites & 2 playlist the 730 "foxsports" playlist & the jibjab year in review playlist. I will upload something as soon as I get a good camera & a computer that is newer, the one I am on is old & slower than paint drying.
