The contract of Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins is about to expire. The Grizzlies have just had their best season ever. Most people would expect that coach Hollins would stay on as head coach, however there is a good chance that he won't. Do to disagreements with management it now appears that coach Hollins is on his way out. As it appears that a coaching change is coming several names have come up as a possible future head coach. This post will give some pros & cons of each possible choice.

- Has had issues with management for not developing players
- His teams style of play are the opposite of what the Grizzlies play.

- Has been an assistant coach under Greg Popovich, Larry Brown, & Mike D'Antoni.
- Has a losing record as a head coach.
- His teams have only made the playoffs twice out of 12 seasons.

Dave Joerger

- Is in charge of the Grizzlies defense.
- Has won titles as a head coach of minor league teams, one NBDL title, one IBL title, & three CBA titles.
- Has been a assistant coach for the Grizzlies since 2007.
- Grizzlies players know him
- Prospective NBA head coach
- Never been a NBA head coach.
- Unknown
- Last time the Grizzlies hired an assistant it went very bad.
