Over the pass several weeks college sports have been dealing with scandals. Not the scandals that it is used to money & cheating, but Sexual abuse scandals. First it was the Penn State scandal which lead to the end of Joe Paterno's coaching career & now it is Syracuse University. At Penn State after it was discovered that JoePa was told that assist. coach Jerry Sandusky had abused boys & he only told his boss he was fired. It seemed that JoePa was part of a cover up.
Syracuse started differently accusers came forward & a investigation was reopen. There had been a earlier investigation into the claims of an accuser which found nothing. Then Coach Jim Boeheim not only defended his assist coach Bernie Fine he also attacked the accusers. When he did this I & many people were surprised. Gary Parrish of CBS said that Boeheim had tied his legacy to Fine. Since then at tape has surfaced in which Fine's wife is talking to one of the accusers & seems to be saying that she knew about the abuse. She also seems to admit to having a affair with the accuser . After the tape was released Fine was fired. Which should end Jim Boeheim time as coach of their basketball coach also. I know the Boeheim has said that he is sorry & backtracked from his earlier comments, but it is to late. It also now appears that the earlier investigation was not a good one & the police were pro Syracuse. To make matters worse there are claims of cover ups to protect basketball players & Mrs Fine might have been having sex with some on the players over time the Fine worked at Syracuse. Point is this scandal will get worse before it gets better. So it is Time for Boeheim to go.
