Dead Blog Posts: College Super league

 Context:

In Europe  several major soccer teams have formed their own Super league. It currently has 12 teams in 7 cities located in England, Spain and Italy. This are among the best soccer teams on the planet. The first 15 teams to join gain permanent membership, meaning no relegation, aka being demoted to a lower league for having a poor record. It is a mess and will lead to several lawsuits. Top Teams from France, Germany and Portugal have reportedly declined membership. That is not why you are here. You are here to see my hypothetical list of teams for a US college sports version of this. Here we go.

2020 D1 College Basketball champion

You just know that sport writers are happy that San Diego State lost.
Coaches and Associated Press topped ranked team at the end of the season. No tournament this year, which means that Kansas is the De Facto National Champions.

An proposal for the NBA

A few years ago, the NBA changed the All-Star game's format from East/ West to one where the captains pick their teams. There has also been talk of changing the playoff format also. While I think that the NBA should keep the East/West format. The fact is that the East/ West format can seem arbitrary. In the past, the NFL's NFC one had Arizona and Dallas in the East with Atlanta, Carolina, St Louis, and New Orleans in the West. The AFC once had Indianapolis in the East and Baltimore in the Central. The NHL at one time named it's divisions and conferences after people. That lasted for years. So maybe the NBA needs some change. I propose one here.
