Dead Blog Posts: College Super league

 Context:

In Europe  several major soccer teams have formed their own Super league. It currently has 12 teams in 7 cities located in England, Spain and Italy. This are among the best soccer teams on the planet. The first 15 teams to join gain permanent membership, meaning no relegation, aka being demoted to a lower league for having a poor record. It is a mess and will lead to several lawsuits. Top Teams from France, Germany and Portugal have reportedly declined membership. That is not why you are here. You are here to see my hypothetical list of teams for a US college sports version of this. Here we go.

2020 D1 College Basketball champion

You just know that sport writers are happy that San Diego State lost.
Coaches and Associated Press topped ranked team at the end of the season. No tournament this year, which means that Kansas is the De Facto National Champions.

An proposal for the NBA

A few years ago, the NBA changed the All-Star game's format from East/ West to one where the captains pick their teams. There has also been talk of changing the playoff format also. While I think that the NBA should keep the East/West format. The fact is that the East/ West format can seem arbitrary. In the past, the NFL's NFC one had Arizona and Dallas in the East with Atlanta, Carolina, St Louis, and New Orleans in the West. The AFC once had Indianapolis in the East and Baltimore in the Central. The NHL at one time named it's divisions and conferences after people. That lasted for years. So maybe the NBA needs some change. I propose one here.

How to expand the college footbal playoff to ten teams.

Only slightly worse than the current system
In a past post, I suggested that the NCAA should expand the college football playoff to eight teams with the power five champions each getting a bid, the best group of five champion getting a bid with two wildcards. I think that my earlier idea would be a good idea, if the NCAA acutally had enough power and guts to try it but it likely will not happen. Truth be told, I don't want it to happen. The reason why I oppose it is because it is another stopgap. It appeases the power conferences who are the problem. So I have decided to share a true plan to fix the playoff.

My All time NBA starting five

Jerry West, GM of the All Time starting five
I have noticed that certain individuals have been posting their all time NBA starting five so I decided to make a list. This list was done quickly, why? Simple, because it was obvious. This is the correct list, all other different lists are wrong.

With Daniel Bryan declaring the end of the Yes Movement here is the beginning. Now Bryan is WWE champion, Sheamus is a tag team champion and Vince McMahon seems to have gone crazy.

The NCAA FBS pecking order

It is that time of year. A time when people choose with teams who will have a chance to become FBS National Champion. The current playoff system started in 2014. It replaced the BCS. Teams are decided by people based on many factors, records, schedule and conferences. Today I am writing about the conferences. This post will reveal the current FBS conference pecking order.

This is a important factor in determining if your team even has a chance. The fact is that their are certain teams who will never have a chance. Those teams could go undefeated and they would not get in. Now the order

It's time Grizz, the Parsons experiment has failed.

Chandler Parson missed another game last night. Parsons joined the Grizzlies as a free agent in the summer of 2016. He sighed a four year max contract for 94 million dollars. He has played in total of 73 games, this includes the three that he has played in these season. His signing was viewed as a great move that showed that the Grizzlies were willing to spend money. Now, it is a contract that has to go.

Return of the Off the Ropes moment

Once upon a time, when I blogged more often I would post a video related to wrestling. Some were good moments, some were bad moments, others were funny. The series was named the Off the Ropes Moment and least until I changed it to the MWM (Memphis Wrestling Moment). Today it returns with its old and true name.

Remember when Brock Lesnar got squashed. Good times.

What should the NCAA do?

This post is based on several thoughts that I have had about the NCAA. It will jump around. Click to see more.

Dead Blog posts, Big 12 is in trouble. Suggestion time.

The Big 12 is dying, again. This time Texas and Oklahoma are leaving to go to the SEC.
